I had the distinct pleasure of working on the redesign of the website for Aris Fioretos, a renowned Swedish writer. The website serves as a platform to showcase his extensive body of work, including his books, interviews in various media formats, and translation projects. As the original website had become dated and difficult to navigate, I was tasked with giving it a complete overhaul to enhance user experience and modernise its aesthetics.

The primary goals of the redesign were to make the website responsive, improve its overall appearance, and streamline navigation. To achieve these objectives, I redesigned the entire website from scratch, whilst maintaining the existing colour palette and typography to preserve its unique identity. The new layout is not only visually appealing but also offers a more intuitive experience for visitors.

One of the most significant improvements was the reorganisation of the admin area. With a focus on simplicity and ease of use, I created a more efficient environment for Aris Fioretos to manage the content on his website. This user-friendly interface has greatly simplified the process of maintaining the site, leading to a more streamlined and enjoyable workflow for the client.

Throughout the redesign process, one challenge I faced was handling the vast number of pages and posts, as well as catering to the diverse design requirements of the different post and page types.

This website for the art curator Andréanne Béguin is a bespoke design. Its colorful interface is highlighting art related publications. Articles open themselves in dedicated windows that the user can intuitively move around and expand to fullscreen.

I used Ghost CMS to create this website.

Coordination Berlin

Internship - COORDNINATION Berlin

During my internship at COORDINATION I took on the project of the new website and online shop. After a quick analysis of their former site, I began creating some trial versions on non-developer platforms such as Wix or SquareSpace. We decided to go for SquareSpace for its elegance and built-in responsiveness.

Then I went further in the design by customizing the HTML, CSS and JavaScript code in order to give a bespoke new website design that would really meet the office’s expectantes. However, modifying these elements made the task of updating pages more difficult for all the members of the company. Therefore, I set up a couple of step-by-step tutorials for all of the maintenance tasks such as adding a new project or changing the homepage pictures.

I kept learning and practicing coding and this very website is my last work.
